How To Select a Ceiling Fan
|
|
Fan Size
The size of a ceiling fan in relation to the size of the room is a very important consideration when choosing your
fan. There are several different sizes of ceiling fans offered for virtually any application you may have. The list
below will help you to choose the proper fan size for your needs.
30" Fan - Small Bathrooms, Hallways, Small Kitchens and Utility Rooms.
42" Fan - Bathrooms, Kitchens, Small Family Rooms, Bedrooms.
52" Fan - Living Rooms, Kitchens, Large Family Rooms, Bedrooms.
Ceiling Height
Most of our fans are able to hang at a safe height in a room with an eight foot ceiling. For maximum comfort
and efficiency, the fan blades should spin at 7 to 9 feet from the floor.
In a room with taller ceilings, a downrod should be utilized to extend the fan from the ceiling. Downrods
are available in a variety of lengths and in finishes to match your fan.
Hugger fans mount flush to the ceiling and are for rooms where the ceiling heights are low.
Light Kits
In many applications, ceiling fans often replace a light fixture and a source of light may still be
required. Some of our fans come equipped with an integral light kit and all others are wired at the
factory to accept optional light kits. We carry light kits in many styles and finishes which will
compliment your fan selection.
Accessories
Our line of celing fan accessories include remote controls and wall controls that allow you to
control fan speed and/or light intensity.
